1. Introduction & Definitions
These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern the provision of services by Chem Insights (“Provider”).
The Provider offers professional chemical analysis and related services.
Customer – a person or company conducting business activity and orders the services available on the Website
Test(s) – laboratory analysis of the composition of the sample provided by the Customer, in particular in terms of the presence of specific substances and components, their concentration and purity of the sample;
The Provider agrees to deliver services properly and on time, and the Customer agrees to pay the agreed price.
Website – the website refers to domain www.cheminsights.co.uk, which is owned and operated by the Company, where Customers can view information on the Services provided by the Company, how to use these Services, place orders and receive the results in digital format
2. General Terms
- These terms defined in the general conditions and methods of providing Services electronically, via the website www.cheminsights.co.uk.
- The Website is a service-based business (with the exception of sending out autosampler bottles to customers). Customers can place a orders for laboratory tests to determine the presence of specific components in a specific substance along with their concentrations and other parameters. Customers are provided with a certificate of results by email.
- Customers can also view the test results via our Website by using their Order Ref Number and Unique code.

3. Contract Formation
A contract is formed by signing submitting an order via the website and making a payment using the options in the checkout. (Contract can also be formed via email).
Sending a sample alone does not create a contract unless an order has been made via the website or by email.
The contract overrides any prior agreements, and customer terms do not apply unless explicitly accepted.
4. Scope of Services
The Provider performs agreed services, and the Customer pays the agreed price.
Specific details are defined in each individual contract or order.
5. Placing Orders
- Prices for conducting tests are provided in Pound Sterling £ and includes any taxes and VAT.
- Testing involves conducting a laboratory analysis of the sample provided by the Customer for the presence of specific substances, measuring the concentration of these substances, or measuring the purity of the components. Detailed information on the possible scope of the Testing, the substances that can be detected during the Testing, and additional information regarding the submission and fulfilment of Testing Orders can be found on the Website.
- In order to place an Order for selected Tests, the Customer follows the checkout procedure and submits the order.
- The Order is submitted to the Company by the Customer electronically and constitutes an offer to conclude the Agreement that is the subject of the Order. An offer submitted electronically binds the Customer if the Company sends a confirmation of acceptance of the Order for processing to the email address provided by the Customer
- Payment is not always required at the checkout stage. Orders can be submitted to the Company without payment on the website (using the Bank Transfer option)
- Once the Order is submitted, the customer will receive the Order confirmation via email. The Order summary will be sent to the Customer and including payment procedures
- The Company will not start the Order process until the following terms have been met:
- samples have been received to the postal address stated on the website
- payment has been made to the Company’s bank account including the Customer Order number
- The Company reserves the right to refuse to process an Order placed by a Customer without any reason.
- Customers must send Samples using the prepaid Royal Mail postage slip to the designated postal address of the Company (which is specified in the Order confirmation email).
- All samples must be sent using the pre paid Royal Mail Order slip which will be provided to the Customer by email after the order is placed. In person deliveries by the Customer is not accepted.
- Samples which are damaged in transit when received by the Company will not be returned to the Customer. In this circumstance, the samples will be destroyed and the order cancelled by the Company. A refund will then be actioned back to the Customer.
- Payments for Orders must be paid within 5 working days.
- The company will not start the process until both payment and samples have been received.
- The timescales for completing the testing is upto 21 days from receipt of the sample and payment (whichever arrives later).
- In unforeseen circumstances, timescales may take more than 21 days, in this instance, the company will endeavor to communicate with the customer with email updates.
- The 21-day timeframe starts once the customers has been sent an email update advising their sample has been received by the Company and has been forwarded to the laboratory queuing system. This email update is referred to as Stage 1
- The Company sends the Customer the test results via the email address provided by the Customer at the time of the Order.
- Customers can also check their results via the Company website. As part of the Service, the Company provides Customers with a password-protected page where they can view their results. The Customer enters the order ref number and Unique key to access the results on the website. These results can be downloaded or shared by the Customer.
- The Company will never share the Order reference number or Unique Key to anyone other than the Customer who placed the initial order.
- All test results will be stored on the Company website and will not be removed even if the Customer has requested to do so. These test results are password protected and only the Original Customer has access unless they share the credentials with others.
6. Delivery Time
Standard turnaround time is 21 days from the date an email is received by the Customer acknowledging receipt of their sample(s) . There may be a time gap between sample arrival and initial contact email. The 21 days start only once an email to the customer is sent (Stage1)
Delays may occur due to incomplete information, technical processes, or sample issues.
7. Customer Responsibilities
The Customer must provide sufficient sample material and declare any hazardous substances.
The Customer is responsible for proper packaging and accurate information. All customers are advised to follow the Sample preparation page on the website.
Hazardous materials include toxic, explosive, or radioactive substances.
Samples may be consumed or destroyed during testing.
8. Provider Rights
The Provider may refuse unclear or damaged samples.
Services may be suspended or terminated if the Customer breaches obligations or fails to pay.
If samples are not sent within 30 days of the order date, the Provider may consider the contract fulfilled without refund.
9. Confidentiality
All business, technical, and operational information is confidential.
The Customer must protect this information.
Reports are based on customer-provided data, and the Provider is not responsible for incorrect input.
10. Pricing & Payments
Payment is due before the samples arrives with us.
Accepted methods include bank transfer, Paypal, and cryptocurrency.
11. Analysis Report
Reports are provided in PDF format, usually in flattened format to avoid alterations.
12. Samples Received
It is the responsibility of the Customer to ensure the sample being sent is packed sufficiently to avoid damages whilst in transit. Any damaged samples will not be tested and the Customer will be required to resend their samples again at their own costs using the Royal Mail network.
If the customer sends in excess sample materials, then any unused portion will not be returned after testing is completed.
13. Liability
The Provider performs services with professional care but is not responsible for poor input data or sample issues.
Liability is limited to the price of the service, and non-material damages are excluded.
14. Delivery & Communication
Email communication is considered delivered when sent.
The Customer must keep contact details updated.
Unidentified shipments may be rejected or destroyed without compensation.
15. Force Majeure
Events such as war, disasters, or epidemics suspend the Provider obligations.
Contracts may be terminated if such events persist beyond 45 days.
16. Data Protection
UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018). It controls how personal information is used by organizations, businesses, or the government, emphasizing transparency, security, and individual rights.
17. Final Provisions
The contract may be terminated by agreement, notice, or immediate termination for breach.
Intellectual property remains with the Provider.
